Miriam Mangelus, Ph.D, MBA,
Co-founder and CEO
Prior to founding PhiloGene Dr. Mangelus served as a matrix program manager, taking drugs for CNS and oncology indications from reaserch to late stage of clinical development at Pharmos and Genta.
Mendi Zeevi, Ph.D., Co-Founder & President
Prior to founding
PhiloGene Dr. Ze'evi was a CEO of two biotech start-ups. Between 1987 and 2000
he worked at Serono/InterPharm as VP Technology and Process Development taking a
key role in the development of Rebif, Serono's Multiple Sclerosis
blockbuster. Other products developed included Rec-IL6, Rec-TBP1 and
Rec-TBP2. Prior to that he was in the founding team of Bio-Technology
General (now Savient) serving in various positions where his last position was
VP of Manufacturing and Process Development. During his office there,
Rec-Bovine Somatotropin and BioTropin (bovine and human Growth Hormones) were
developed.
David Naveh, Ph.D., M.B.A.
Co-Founder
Prior to founding PhiloGene Dr. Naveh worked for Bayer
Corporation for 15 years, until April 2007, as Chief Technical Officer of Bayer
Biological Products, Worldwide where he led the development of KG-FS.
Prior to Bayer, Dr. Naveh was responsible for antibody production at Centocor
and led the CMC commercialization of Centoxin, Remicade and Reopro. Before
that, David was a manager at Schering Plough and participated in Intron and
Gentamacyin development.
Dr. Naveh has served on boards of Directors of Public and Private companies since 1995, most notably Discovery labs (DSCO), and currently Bionovo (BNVI), where he also chairs the compensation and Audit committees.
